The default activation method is the hotkey ⌘⇧B (Command-Shift-B) — press it anywhere and start speaking. Wake-word listening ('Hey Bella') is optional and disabled by default; you can enable it per-device in Settings. Either way, nothing leaves your device until after activation. Ask it anything: 'What's my day look like?', 'Draft a follow-up to Sarah', 'Add milk to my grocery list'. Natural conversation, not robotic commands.
